Sukhumvit Soi 22 sits between BTS Asok and BTS Phrom Phong — two of the most useful stations on the Sukhumvit BTS line. The soi is residential in character but well served, and it’s home to several major hotels that make it a natural base for both short-stay visitors and long-term Bangkok residents.
Getting to Soi 22
From BTS Asok: exit towards Sukhumvit Road and walk south. Soi 22 is on the right, approximately 8 minutes on foot.
From BTS Phrom Phong: walk north along Sukhumvit. Soi 22 is on the left, approximately 8 minutes on foot.
Motorbike taxis operate at both BTS exits and can take you to the soi entrance for 20–30 ฿. Grab is consistently available in this area throughout the day.
Hotels on Soi 22
Three major hotels are on or immediately adjacent to the soi:
Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park — one of the largest hotels in Bangkok, with extensive facilities and a main entrance directly on the soi.
Holiday Inn Bangkok Sukhumvit — international standard, well located, consistently reliable.
Four Points by Sheraton Bangkok, Sukhumvit 22 — straightforward and good value for the location.
All three are within easy walking distance of both BTS Asok and BTS Phrom Phong.
What’s on the soi
Soi 22 has a functional mix of restaurants, convenience stores, pharmacies, and service businesses serving the hotel and expat population. It’s not a tourist shopping street — which makes it genuinely useful day to day.
Grooming on Soi 22
