Men's Grooming Checklist Before a Big Meeting in Bangkok

Monday, May 18, 2026

First impressions are faster than most people are comfortable admitting. Research on snap judgments consistently shows that grooming and presentation register before words are exchanged. This is not about vanity. It is about removing distractions.

The checklist

Hair. Clean and styled. Not necessarily cut: a scalp wash and blow dry the morning before is often enough to reset hair that has spent a week in hotel showers.

Face. Shaved cleanly or beard trimmed and shaped. Skin without irritation or visible dryness. A straight razor shave the day before holds better than the morning of, since the skin has time to settle.

Ears. Clear. This sounds obvious. It is not, for the percentage of men who have not had a professional clean in months.

Nose hair. Dealt with. Ten minutes, four weeks of invisibility.

Nails. Trimmed, filed, clean underneath. Hands are visible throughout every meeting. Ragged nails register as detail-averse.

The timing

Book the day before, not the morning of. A good scalp wash leaves the hair manageable but not overdone. A shave the morning of means your skin is still reacting. The afternoon before hits the right window.

One appointment at Care 22 can cover most of this list: scalp wash, shave, nose wax, and nails in a single session. Book ahead and it takes under two hours.
